Yeah, a positive message from Hugh for a change regarding Celtic.

Radio Clyde’s experienced pundit has his say on the Riley McGree transfer and he has a positive message to send to the Hoops fans following the collapse of the move.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “I find the Riley McGree situation fascinating.

“I listened on Monday night to the programme.

“I mean, it was the worst, the least glowing recommendation given to any player that I’ve ever heard from podcast guy Andy in Birmingham.

“And I don’t know whether Ange was listening, quietly delighted, but I don’t think the Celtic fans should get wildly upset about Riley McGree.

“You’ve been given a chance to go to a club like Celtic, to play in front of 60,000 people.

“Let’s be honest, they are a much, much bigger club than Middlesbrough.

“And if he chooses to go the Middlesbrough way, a good luck to him I hope he has a wonderful career, but I think he’s done the wrong thing.”

Quite a refreshing take from Hugh.

To be honest, I was expecting a rant on how Celtic messed it up and how Ange let one get away but I agree with Hugh.

The podcaster that gave the rundown on McGree’s move to Celtic was less than complimentary about the move and did suggest that Celtic were too good for him.

Ange certainly didn’t seem to think so and at the end of the day, it looks like money talked ahead of ambition.
