26-year-old Celtic star could be set for shock summer exit – won’t go cheap

|

Celtic star Tom Rogic is a target for Leicester City and Southampton this summer, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

The Australian outlet, reporting on one of their nation’s top football stars, say that the 26-year-old could end up leaving Celtic Park in the upcoming transfer window.

Southampton are said to have kept close tabs on the progress of the attacking midfielder over the last two seasons and are weighing up an offer that could break the record fee for an Australian player.

The quoted figures range between £10m and £20m.

The paper reckon that any Saints bid will be matched by Leicester City who are keen to reunite the classy player with former manager Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic fans will of course be keen to keep a hold of one of the squad’s top talents.

Despite his injury and fitness problems he remains one of our most exciting and effective stars and losing him would be a blow to our hopes of securing nine league titles in a row.

For an eight figure fee though some might be tempted to say goodbye, and Celtic could be too.
