The Daily Record has recently referred to the fact that Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata is on the radar of Italian side Lazio.

The defender is largely in his prime now at 27-years-old and though some of us aren’t still convinced by him it does look as though he is improving.

Certainly, I think he’s a player we should look to keep for next season as it would seem he is playing as well as he ever has with him at the World Cup with Belgium.

And, with that in mind, that might be why the likes of Lazio are looking at him.

The Verdict

Boyata seems to be attracting interest but he is a player we should aim to avoid selling.

He’s got power and pace and hopefully his exertions this summer will see him become a stronger player in 2018/19.

He’s in his prime and I think it would be a mistake to let him go.
