Reports are emerging that Celtic have reached a ‘verbal agreement’ for Lanus left back Alexandre Bernabei.

The Daily Record cites journalist  Luis Merlo claiming on Twitter, “There is verbal agreement for Alexander Bernabei to go to Celtic in Scotland.

Lanús is exchanging documentation for an operation that is carried out for 90 per cent of the economic rights.”

With just a 10% sell on clause negotiated this seems like a great piece of business by Celtic for a player already capped for the Argentine u23s.

Bernabei is set to become Celtics third summer signing (don’t forget about Maeda) and it seems like there will be more additions in the coming weeks.

The news will please the Celtic fans as it will tie up the constant speculation surrounding Bernabei.

Celtic are also said to be tying up another loan to buy deal for 13 cap Guinea-Bissau defensive midfielder Alfa Semedo in what looks like it will be a loan to buy with an obligation to buy with a three year deal.

It’s set to be a busy week for the club and hopefully Jota will be the next player announced as signing for the club.
