This summer the Bhoys need to be ambitious and aggressive in the transfer window.
The club probably know that domestic honours remain guaranteed for the next few years but it’s in Europe where we really want to start making more of an impact.
That has to be reflected in our dealings this summer, then, and I think Tammy Abraham would be an ideal part of that.
Of course, we’ve already got a lot of attacking options at the club but with Nadir Ciftci off there is an opening for a new forward – so why not make it a good one?
We could only afford a loan for sure, but with 34-goals in his last two seasons, he’s surely good enough to score many up here and so even for a year it’d be worth giving him the platform on which to shine.
Offensive options consisting of him, French Eddy and Moussa Dembele would genuinely give sides in Europe something to thinking about whilst Brendan would be perfect to get Abraham realising his full potential.
Perhaps I’m being a bit fanciful but it’s the sort of move we should be looking to get sorted to underline our aims for next year.
