With the international break taking over the footballing calendar there is nothing for us Celtic fans to do but to look forward to the month ahead as October could end up being a season-defining month both domestically and in Europe.

Starting with the Champions League, we have the crucial double-header against RB Leipzig and the home match against Shakhtar, I think that seven points is extremely achievable for Celtic and would put our chances of qualification in a very strong position ahead of our trip to the Santiago Bernabéu, October really will decide our European future.

On to the domestic campaign, Celtic have six games with arguably the most difficult of these at the end of the month with an away trip to the Tony Macaroni stadium to face Livingston a historically difficult ground for Celtic winning there just once since 2007, the good news is that victory came last season in a 3-1 success which hopefully we can repeat at the end of October.

Although October will be challenging for Celtic it could very well turn into a season-defining month that gives us a championship advantage as we head into the World Cup break and our Australian tour due to the size and quality of our squad through Ange’s summer squad acquisitions which will most definitely be needed in the eight October games.

It’s the dreaded international break. So take away the boredom and try our *BRAND NEW* quiz. Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
