It’s probably no surprise that this is a move that is being tipped to happen in January.

With Celtic already delving into the transfer market and securing one player, another looks likely on the way as Alistair Johnston seems to be about to don the hoops in a few months time.

So that, then, leaves the ongoing saga (if we can call it that) with Josip Juranovic.

There is a general acceptance that the player may move on in January but until we hear from the club or the player, no one really knows what is going on.

Stephen McGinn of Falkirk reckons time is up for the Croatian defender and thinks he is destined to go in January.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, McGinn said, “I think he goes in January. I don’t think Ange Postecoglou does any messing about.

“I think behind closed doors they’ve maybe decided that Josip can move on after the World Cup and he’s just gonna go in and brought in his replacement.

“I think it’s Ange’s mantra. They don’t stop and that’s the way the signings have been as well.

“It’s not even January and it looks like they’ve got two already snapped up ready to go.”

For what it’s worth, I reckon he’s away in January as well.

Ange would not have signed Alistair Johnston if Juranovic was staying till the end of the season.

What kind of message would that move have sent to Ralston?

So, to me, it looks like this is the beginning of the end for him.

Who were Celtic most expensive transfer additions in these seasons?
