The Bhoys get their hands on the league trophy tomorrow for the seventh year in a row.

A hard-fought season has so far yielded two cups with one still to go for and it’ll certainly be good to see Aberdeen off with a win before hoisting the trophy aloft.

With that in mind, then, the club has got a class gesture lined up for the presentation of the silverware with Roy Aitken and Tom Boyd set to help the process:

They, rightly, are going to be involved with the celebrations as a club so let’s take a look at the reaction on Twitter to the news:

The Verdict

I’m looking forward to seeing the pair and the more recent stars of the show take part in what should be a momentous occasion.

Clearly, it’s going to be a jubilant day but, for me, it needs to include a win just to underline it all nicely.

  • There’s always someone ready to discredit great gestures! There are more tha 100 people we ciuld have invited, but you can’t have all of them! Not all of them are even available! The key is that these two are Celtic men. Both top level passionate Celtic captains. Two of the best ever Scottish born players! How about a little possitivity!

  • This season has only yielded ONE cup so far. The league is not a cup. For one thing, the league trophy is an enclosed object, and couldn’t be described as a cup.

  • (Feed The Bear!) Centenary double season captain?

(Tom Boyd) Stopped 10 in a row captain?

    What more do you want?

I understand the no.7 relevance, but does that mean Juninho and Scott McDonald should be there?

    Who cares who’s there?

2 monumental previous captains will do me!
