Despite safely guiding Celtic to nine consecutive domestic trophies and starting this season on fire, manager Neil Lennon is still being doubted by some Hoops fans when it comes to his selection of Lewis Morgan in the central striker role, even after scoring in the 3-1 Europa League win over Rennes.

Morgan is currently the man trusted to lead the line with Odsonne Edouard out injured and Leigh Griffiths not yet fully fit, there is also the soap opera that is Scott Sinclair’s Celtic career, a January move is best for all concerned if he is only going to be considered as a last resort.

With the Betfred League Cup final less than a week away, Lennon took no chances with Edouard and believes he has enough fire power from the likes of Ryan Christie, James Forrest and Mikey Johnston to make up for the Frenchman’s absence.

Who should start against Hamilton in mid-week?

Lewis Morgan

Leigh Griffiths

Another comfortable win and three points secured justified Lennon’s selection of Morgan, these fans disagreed with the gaffer prior to the match but maybe now they will have changed their tune.

Morgan has done well in his last two games and he will probably start against Hamilton in mid-week to give Edouard more time to recover, with seven goals scored, its not like the Hoops have struggled without him.
