Celtic have addressed the top end of the pitch in this January window and now it is time for them to look further back.

It’s clear that we have needed a few signings this season to come in during this window and eventually we have acted with three new attacking arrivals.

We do, however, now need to address things in defence with a centre-half and a right-back being needed.

It seems, then, that the Bhoys are looking far afield for the former position, then, with the Scotsman referring to the club’s apparent interest in MLS man Wil Trapp.

A masterstroke that no-one else thought of by Rodgers, then, or a risk that really doesn’t need to be taken?

Certainly, Trapp carries a serious air of the unknown for us, though he is highly rated among American football watchers.
