It hasn’t been a quiet week for Celtic Football Club.
With the league season starting last weekend, a UEFA Champions League qualifying tie against AEK Athens on Wednesday and a Tynecastle test tomorrow, the action is coming thick and fast, but it’s off field drama that most supporters have been thinking about.
Brendan Rodgers has given a series of interviews and press conferences over the past few days that have had Celtic fans debating for hours.
It’s clear that the manager hasn’t exactly been overjoyed with the transfer dealings of the club this summer and heading into the last few weeks on the transfer window has called on the club to add quality signings to replace players that have left, such as Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts.
While Rodgers’ honesty with fans is welcome, it’s also been frustrating considering the consistent negative headlines.
These supporters have taken to Twitter over the last couple of days to share their thoughts on it all.
Actually quite a shambles when ye hink what Rodgers has done for Celtic and he can’t even get backing from the board for crucial replacements

Allowing John McGinn to slip through our fingers is unforgivable. It's this type of weakness and indecision from the Celtic board that will see Rodgers walk away sooner rather than later.

Celtic board best back Rodgers, best manager we’ve had our hands on in a long time, spend the money and reap the rewards 🤦🏻♂️🍀

It’s so frustrating tae watch the Celtic board being so resistant to give Rodgers the money he wants for the players he wants. If you don’t invest you can’t compete at the level we know the team can. Hope things take a turn for the better🍀💚

Rodgers isnt daft he know if he puts a bit of pressure on the board, he has the fans by his side to add to that pressure and force them to dig a bit deeper. Everything will work out in the end !!
