On This Day is always a feature I enjoy but the one for this date seems to be extra special for many of us.

Indeed, 20 years ago this evening we were celebrating the fact that the Bhoys had stopped 10 in a row by taking the league title back to the right side of Glasgow.

It would herald the end of one of the tougher periods at the club in recent memory and also mark the beginning of a more successful time as we saw sides chock-full of quality in the seasons to come.

The Verdict

It’s a date that, though perhaps not the most significant in terms of outright glory, means a lot to many of us.

It stopped the Gers from making it 10 which would have been awful and, with that said, that’s why it would be so sweet to reach that marker ourselves.
