Aberdeen man Graeme Shinnie has tried to play down his poor challenge on Scott Brown on the final day and has said that things have been overhyped about it.

The Dons’ man and Broony have got a bit of needle between them and Shinnie decided to try and unsettle the skipper with a robust showing to say the least when we last played.

Scott, of course, has had none of that and has certainly made some amusing comments about Shinnie’s lack of quality with the Aberdeen man now reflecting on the feud – as per the Evening Express.

He said:

“I had 19 bookings last season and that one seems to be standing out the most.

“I can’t get my head around it that there was a big deal made out of it.”

The Verdict

Shinnie picked up a lot of yellows last season and it does suggest that perhaps he’s not cut out to play against the very best in the league.

Brown has made him look a plum at times and I’m sure when the next meeting occurs there’ll be some more niggle.

I’m all for it, too, as long as we win.
