‘Abysmal’, ‘Shocker’ – Celtic fans worry about in-form star after Saturday’s match

Olivier Ntcham celebrates scoring for Celtic

Celtic have been left sweating on the fitness of Olivier Ntcham ahead the crucial mid-week qualifier against AEK Athens after he appeared to pick up an ankle injury late on against Livingston on Saturday.

Manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed he he was hurt and was to be assessed ahead of Wednesday’s match, as reported by the BBC.

Ntcham has arguably been the team’s stand-out player in the early stages of the season, starting all five matches, scoring two goals and creating an assist.

The dynamic playmaker gives the Hoops something unique in the middle of the park and alongside Scott Brown has formed the best midfielder partnership in the country and one of the best at the club for a number of years.

Losing him for Wednesday night’s clash would be a massive blow, something that supporters recognise.

Many took to Twitter after yesterday’s match to share their concerns he will be missing for the tie against the Greeks…
