You would think that after yet another draw at home, regardless of whether it was against our Glasgow rivals or not, the odds on who will become the next Celtic manager would reflect the ineptness of Sunday’s performance, the league standings or even the general mood of the Celtic fans as a whole.

Alas, it is not to be and even after a disappointing team selection where Kennedy continued to play one up front, oversee mind boggling substitutions and the continued inability to organise the team defensively after a season of calamitous mistakes (which cost Celtic again dearly on Sunday), it seems Kennedy is still in the bookies eyes to have a chance at winning to top seat at Paradise.

Kennedy, speaking post match said of the Hoops display, “Performance wise I think we showed our level, that we are more than capable of coming and competing and being the better team.

“But you have got to then do the other side which is get the results. It is disappointing, but I am not going to let that get us down because I want the players to reflect on the performance, the attitude they had in the game, the control they had in the game.”

Would you have John Kennedy as next Celtic manager?

YES

NO

Even after all that, Kennedy inexplicably ROSE to joint favourite in the betting order to become the next Celtic manager at 7/4 (Skybet) alongside ex Sheffield United boss, Chris Wilder.

It truly is baffling that money is continuing to be poured onto the interim boss at a time when many Celtic fans are feeling that nothing much has changed since Kennedy took the reigns after former boss Neil Lennon resigned just over a month ago.
