“I think they’ll strengthen again in January” – Andy Walker has ominous league title warning for rivals

Celtic have been absolutely relentless this season.

One defeat in fifteen fixtures leaves the club sitting pretty at the top of the league with a nine-point advantage.

With the club announcing their first new signing of the transfer window last week, Andy Walker reckons Ange Postecoglou isn’t quite finished in the transfer market yet.

In fact, not only does he see Celtic strengthening the team, he also sees us extending our nine-point advantage at the top of the table.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Walker said, “I don’t think Celtic will lose it.

“I think Celtic are too strong. I think they’ll strengthen again in January.

“I think when you look at the way that they play their style of football, I think there’s a commitment there from pretty much everyone.

“There’s a focus as well.

“And I think that’s the big difference with every player at Celtic to get an opportunity and performing.

“I don’t think you could talk about any Celtic player who’s not really been at it.

“There’s maybe half a dozen players that, you can argue, have been the best player in the first six months of the season so I don’t see Celtic giving away a nine-point lead.

“If anything, I see them extending it.”

That flies in the face of what I was reporting on last night.

With many commentators thinking that the lead could be cut after yesterday’s announcement, Walker was fairly adamant that he only sees Celtic going from strength to strength.

And who can argue with him?

Ange has already shown that he is a master in the transfer window and has engrained a never say die attitude within the squad.

The St Mirren result aside, I cannot see how any team can stop us this season and I believe that we could witness yet another treble, Ange’s first, in 2023.

Who am I? Can you guess who this former Celt is?
