Celtic’s season so far has been pretty good, and it has the chance to get even better on Thursday. We’re returning to Europa League action on Thursday, with a game against Rosenborg, and it’s a tie that we’re expecting to win.
However, ahead of that game, Celtic have other matters to attend to, one of which came on Wednesday in the form of Dedryk Boyata’s birthday.
The defender turned 28, and his birthday was celebrated over on the official Celtic Twitter page.

Unsurprisingly, lots of Celtic fans were quick to talk about the news online, and they’ve got one simple message and request for their club – give him a new deal as his present!
Of course, Boyata’s current contract expires at the end of the season, and so the Hoops are risking losing him on a free at present. Given that he’s been a regular so far this term, and the fact that he’s performed so well so consistently, it’s essential that a new deal is found as soon as possible.
