Another journalist hints at Celtic departure

Celtic are looking to win another league title and we took another big stride towards doing so at the weekend.

With Rangers winning against Hamilton on Sunday afternoon with a big scoreline, they would have been hoping that the Bhoys were going to open the door.

We shut it in their face, though, and restored the eight-point gap at the top of the division.

Good stuff, then, though one report that’s not so welcome is that of Brendan Rodgers and being linked with Leicester.

Indeed, speaking to talkSPORT yesterday, journalist Martin Lipton suggested that the Foxes do indeed what the Bhoys’ manager.

This is what he had to say:

“There is no doubt, it would seem, that Leicester want Rodgers. “Brendan has been up in Scotland, what more could he do at Celtic? He’s won so many trophies, he’s had an unbeaten season. It can only go one way and that’s downhill.”

A rather concerning report that won’t go away, then, but I am confident that he will not be going anywhere this season at least.

Surely, Rodgers wants to achieve 10-in-a-row and I can’t see him leaving until he has at least tried to do exactly that.
