This season has been something like no other.
When Ange Postecoglou took over the club, many people were sceptical whether or not the former Socceroos boss had what it takes to lead the club and handle the pressure that is involved with managing a team like Celtic.
Understandable for those that didn’t look into the background of the Celtic boss before he took over but I think it is fair to say most people had a reaction of ‘Who is he?’ when he was first announced.
The day the move for Eddie Howe broke down, Vital Celtic reported on the day how Postecoglou surged to the top of the favourites list to take over the helm and almost one year on, who would have thought we would be where are now.
And to highlight just how good a job Postecoglou has done since taking over, Australian based journalist Sacha Pisani tweeted some incredible stats about the teams form so far this season.
Pisani tweeted, “Since September’s defeat to Livingston, Celtic 28 games unbeaten in the league. 24W & 4D In that time, Postecoglou’s side have scored 64 goals & kept 16 clean sheets.
“One step closer to Premiership glory for Ange Postecoglou & #Celtic.”
Postecoglou is on the verge of an unprecedented league and cup double this season when, in reality, no one gave him any hope of keeping up with our rivals never mind surpassing them.
