Following highly-charged midweek Champions League action, SPL leaders Celtic return to domestic matters with a visit from Dundee United on Saturday afternoon.

The Hoops approach the game with injury issues and Scott Brown, Rami Gershon, Mikael Lustig and Victor Wanyama all rated doubtful.

Meanwhile, striker Georgios Samaras won’t train until next week after recovering from a recent hamstring problem.

The visitors have won their first couple of games under new manager Jackie McNamara while scoring three times against both Hearts in the league and Rangers in the Scottish Cup.

But the former Celtic defender suffered a major blow this week with the news that centre-back Gavin Gunning has already been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

Meanwhile, the Tangerines are hopeful that skipper Jon Daly and midfielder Willo Flood will both recover in time after a slight knock and illness respectively.
