Celtic are looking to get themselves some new players this summer for sure as there are areas on the pitch that need work.

The Bhoys and Neil Lennon will want to remain top of the domestic tree but they cannot sit on their hands and new arrivals need to be sorted.

One area that needs addressing, too, is the right-back role and the Hoops could do a lot worse than going for a former player in the form of Adam Matthews.

A player who was famously part of the team to beat Barcelona, the right-back is set to leave Sunderland on a free this summer and could be a bargain arrival.

With Jeremy Toljan leaving after his loan and Mikael Lustig’s future far from certain, we need a player in with years left to come in and solve things.

Knowing the club as he does already and, indeed, with him also knowing Neil Lennon, this could be an ideal one to look at.
