Over the weekend, one piece of speculation on Celtic’s rumour mill seemed to kick up another few gears and it concerned Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar.
The 25-year-old made the switch to Bratislava from Basel last summer and it looks like the Slovenian international is having a good season with 18 goals returned so far this campaign – although I should note, others state he has returned 20 in 26 matches.
Initially the Daily Mail linked us with having an interest in the £5million rated player, and the Daily Record followed that up, claiming he would be available for the right fee.
It certainly garnered a positive response on social media from fans who reacted to the news and some suggest he’d be the ideal replacement for Odsonne Edouard for whenever we cash in on him and he moves on as most expect.
All seriousness; scored 5 goals in a tough Europa League group for Bratislava (3rd TGS). Scored 20 in 26 so far this season; last season he scored 34 in 36, with 9 assists.
Boys a goalscorer, get him in.

Andraz Sporar looks like what we need, hope the few posts ive seen on here are true.

Sporar is a player who could come in and comfortably be first choice when Edouard leaves. Guy is a goal scorer. Take every day of the week.

Andraz sporar is a class wee player I've been keeping tabs on him since we signed Bayo from the same league. Better player by far.

Should’ve signed him instead of Bayo tbf

Whether anything comes of the Sporar speculation, as January nears we’re only going to be linked with even more players again but such is the time of year.
For £5m Is Sporar A No Brainer?
Worth A Gamble At That
No
