All Celtic fans know just how good our side have been this season don’t we?

For a start, the league table doesn’t lie. Nine points ahead in the league, one defeat in almost a year and a goal difference of +60, Ange Postecoglou’s men have been absolutely relentless this season.

And all of it isn’t down to one particular part of the team.

Yes, the strikers take the credit for the goals, the midfielders and wingers take credit for the assists and the defenders and goalkeeper take a lot of credit for the amount of clean sheets the team has to their name.

And it was the clean sheet stat that interested the commentator on Sunday afternoon.

Commentating on BBC Sportsound, Liam McLeod revealed this stunning stat just after St Johnstone scored that shows just how good the Celtic defence have been this season, “Actually Packie, if you’re interested, before today, only Newcastle had strung together more clean sheets in a row in the European top leagues.”

That’s quite incredible and one of the main reasons we are looking at winning a potential Treble this season.

Scoring goals and keeping the ball out the back of the net is the mark of a championship winning side and if Celtic continue their relentless form, the title race will be over sooner rather than later.
