I have to say I have been saying this for a number of weeks. It is starting to look ever likely that Celtic will be crowned champions for a second successive season in a row.

That would be seventeen titles in twenty-three years to continue the clubs domestic dominance that we have become accustomed to.

Even looking at our performances so far this season, the club’s average possession stat is 66% per match (including Europe) and we are scoring roughly 3.1 goals per game [fbref] so unless the opposition finds some new-fangled way to get the ball off us, defeat is almost inevitable for every team that we come up against.

We are just relentless and Martin Dowden of the BBC agrees.

As reported on the BBC website, Dowden said, “Only 13 games left. 9 points ahead. 25 goals better off than Rangers.

“It seems very unlikely at this stage that Celtic will somehow throw away that sort of position.

“They haven’t flinched and show no sign of doing so.

“On a difficult pitch, against eager opponents, they found some real moments of quality to do what they do. Win.

“The second-half performance dipped and St Johnstone tried everything to get something but you sensed Celtic could up a gear at any moment.

“Their consistency is very, very impressive.”

All we need are ten wins and the league is done and dusted.

Effectively, we could win the league, if results go our way, in the Celtic Park Glasgow Derby fixture.

Now wouldn’t that be something to behold?

Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
