The Celtic fans have been revelling in the teams style of play in the first few games of the season.

It took a while to get going, but there were glimpses of what Ange was trying to do with the team over pre season and against Midtjylland in the Champions League qualifying round elimination.

Since the 4-2 away win against Jablonec in the Europa League, the Hoops fans have been enjoying a team full of attacking intent and attractive football, scoring lots of goals and not giving the opposition teams a minute on the ball.

It certainly is a joy to watch and teams in Scotland are in for a shock every time they come up against the boys in green.

Speaking post match to Premier Sports after todays 3-2 win over Hearts, Postecoglou told of the inspiration behind his style of play in a moment of touching sentiment that shows the class of Celtic’s new manager, “Our football was outstanding for the first 60 minutes it was as good as we had played. Especially first half.

“We didn’t get the rewards for that.  Some of it self inflicted. We had some good chances. We didn’t take others.

“Our football was outstanding for that period, which was great to see because, obviously we’re in the middle of a heavy schedule and we are relying on the same call group of players.

“But they really put in a good shift.

“I think I’ve said a few times, my old man’s up there somewhere, but he is the one that if I could get him excited about the teams I was producing, that was enough for me, and I think he would have been pretty pleased with what he saw in the first half.”

He would not have been pleased. If the Celtic supporters reaction to this teams brand of football is anything to go by, Ange’s father would be bloody delighted (to steal a well known Aussie colloquialism) to have watched this team and I cannot wait to see how this matures as the team’s confidence grows and Ange adds his own personnel to the first team.
