Manager Brendan Rodgers believes the 2-2 home draw with Hibernian was probably Celtic’s best result of the season.

Midfielder Callum McGregor scored both goals for the champions, with those arriving either side of a John McGinn brace.

Their latest point still leaves the Hoops top of the table on goal-difference from second-placed Aberdeen.

“It is an amazing indication of how good the players have been on this run we have been on,” Rodgers told BBC Scotland. “It is a game they could easily have lost, with the tiredness creeping in after all the travel and three away games.

“When you go 2-1 down, there are questions asked of you in terms of spirit and quality, but the players have come back to get a result, and it looked like a clear penalty [against Scott Sinclair] at the end.”
