Celtic fans are worried about the extent of midfielder Ryan Christie’s apparent injury, after he was stretchered off against RB Salzburg at Celtic Park last night.
The 23-year-old collided with opposition forward Takumi Minamino and immediately looked in some distress, requiring extensive medical attention on the pitch.
Manager Brendan Rodgers didn’t know the extent of the problem after the match but did confirm he is now on crutches and that the injury will be reviewed in the coming days.
The Scottish international’s form has been absolutely superb over the last couple of months and to see him out for ant sort of extended period would be a real blow to our season.
He’s scored five goals in his last six league matches, providing the team with a badly needed goal threat.
Everyone is hoping the injury is not as bad as feared, with fans taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
Gutted for Ryan Christie. Absolutely flying at the minute, looked a bad one from his reaction. Hopefully no as serious as it looks

Celtic poor tonight, but have to admit Salzburg are a class act. Gutted for Ryan Christie, hope it's not too serious.
Also, cheers @RBKfotball. We owe you one!

Just about recovered from that late drama. Into the draw on Monday and some really tough/exciting potential opponents there. Gutted for Ryan Christie, really hope it's nothing serious but it looked bad.

We'll miss Ryan Christie big time gave us another option and he's come on to be a game winner. Ntcham hopefully grabs his chance at least Broonie looks to be coming back.

Biggest disappointment for me at Celtic Park tonight was seeing Ryan Christie stretchered off with what looked a bad injury. Christie has been inspirational since coming into the side and it would be a big blow if it's a long-term injury.
