Another name has been revealed in the bookies odds as a potential favourite to take up the vacant Celtic managers position at the end of the season.  So far, a multitude of star names have been dipping in and out of the race to become the next gaffer and this next name could possibly be in the “sexy” bracket like Benitez and Martinez.

Today, former Arsenal and France striker, Thierry Henry, has shot into the bookies top 10 of favourites to become the next Celtic manager.  Henry announced today that he had left his position as manager of MLS side, CF Montreal.

Would you be happy with Thierry Henry as Celtic boss?

YES

NO

Henry took to social media to release an emotional statement where he blamed the COVID pandemic travel restrictions for his decision, as he was finding it difficult to be apart from his family, “Unfortunately due to the ongoing restrictions and the fact that we will have to relocate to the US again for several months will be no different. The separation is too much of a strain for me and my kids.

“Therefore, it is with much sadness that I must take the decision to return to London and leave CF Montreal.”

No sooner than the announcement was made, Henry shot up the bookies rankings, to become on of the top candidates for the Celtic job and you can find prices as low as 8/1.

Clearly there has been much interest in this name and as the saga goes on, who knows what candidate will eventually fill the role with current interim manager, John Kennedy, also being touted for the hot seat.
