The latest pro-Rangers propaganda has come from left-field with Stephen Thompson of the BBC – not normally known to favour his old club – declaring that it would be “impossible” to award Celtic the title in the event that the SPFL cancel the 2019/20 season.
Speaking on the BBC Scottish football podcast and reported by The Daily Record, Thompson feels that nobody would recognise the Hoops as the champions despite also claiming that anyone who says they weren’t going to win the league are “lying”.
The SPFL has already set the precedent to appoint Celtic 9-in-a-row winners after the controversial resolution vote confirmed the season over for the lower leagues and the teams at the top of each table winners.
Hoops fans took to Twitter in response to the pundit’s claims, and needless to say, they didn’t exactly agree.
13 points clear, better team, better squad and we’re pretty much strolling to the title…
Think his obvious bias is showing a bit much here.

However it is possible for Rangers to be seen as bottle merchants, failures, mocked and humiliated by Hearts, Hamilton and Kilmarnock in the weeks leading up to the “get out of jail” scenario for Stevie G..
is it not?????

Yes but they will, as UEFA have stated, sporting merit. 13 pts clear is more than merit with 80% of games played……👍🤣🍀

This guy was on sportscene just before lockdown, in fact before they got put out of the cup, saying the league was gone. If it was over then, what’s changed? Gone from ‘no hope’, ‘sack the manager’, to world beaters since we stopped playing!

Did all ex rangers players become comedians when they retired or just some of them.

And to sum up the general mood of Celtic fans across the country…..
‘Rangers fans won’t accept this’?…………bothered
