Many Celtic supporters would love to see the club make an attempt to sign Filip Benkovic on a permanent basis after being so impressed with his performance against Hibs on Saturday.
The Croatian defender was in superb form alongside Dedryck Boyata in the heart of the Hoops defence and despite conceding two goals, it looked like a centre-back pairing to be trusted going forward.
Unfortunately he’s only on loan from Leicester City, who paid big money to bring him to English football in the summer, so our chances of bagging him on a permanent basis appear slim.
Still, the English Premier League can be insane transfer wise on occasion and stranger things have happened.
The worry would be that we lose both Benkovic and Boyata over the next few months, leaving us badly needing new first-choice defenders.

Probably wishful thinking on my part but if there's anyway a deal can be done to sign Benkovic we should take it.
Looks like Leister shelled out £13m for him but you never know.
Wages could be another problem.
All in all the best we could hope for is an Odsonne type deal.. HH

Would love to see us sign big Benkovic but it's no going to happen. Leicester will either want him back to play or try and recoup the £13m they paid for him in the summer.
