Speaking ahead of the club’s fixture against Lithuanian side FK Suduva tomorrow night, Rodgers has put to bed speculation that the club may return with a further offer for the Dons’ star defender, after an initial £3.5m bid was reported to have been rejected earlier this week.
Rodgers admitted that he is an admirer of the player, but that Aberdeen have made it clear he is not for sale.
Rodgers on McKenna: He’s a young player that I like, however the clubs have spoken and it was made clear Scott won’t be for sale or available in this window. So that would end that. #Celtic #Aberdeen

McKenna emerged as one of the better defenders in the Scottish Premiership last season and at just 21 years of age already has a handful of international caps with Scotland.
Physical and aggressive, some viewed him as a potential solution to the current defensive crisis at the club.
Others of course were less than happy with the reported interest, with many fans taking to social media over the last 48 hours to share their dismay at the transfer links.
With just over a week until the end of the transfer window, it appears Celtic will be looking elsewhere for a centre-back to help improve our defensive line this season.
