A brilliant video has emerged as former Celtic boss, Ronny Deila, celebrates his latest title triumph.

To add to his Norwegian league and cup win and his two SPFL titles and Scottish League Cup triumphs, Deila has also added the MLS Eastern Conference to trophy to his managerial record.

Although much loved by the Celtic supporters for his ‘Ronny Roar‘, Deila took over the club at a difficult period in Scottish football’s history but still managed to deliver two Scottish titles to help the Hoops onto their second nine in a row.

Deila is the current manager of New York City FC where he has spent the last two years since moving on from Celtic in 2016 and Valerenga in 2020.

After taking over New York in January 2020, he led his team to the MLS Cup Playoffs against Orlando City but, heartbreakingly, lost on penalties in the first round.

But after his latest triumph with New York, the club released a tweet showing the former Hoops gaffer celebrating with his players and the cup.

Deila was a popular manager at Celtic, more renowned for being a nice guy and easy to deal with in the press, but even he admitted  himself that after the Scottish Cup exit in his final season, that he had taken the club as far as he could.

The Norwegian’s exit heralded the Brendan Rodgers era but I am sure Deila will always be remembered fondly by the Hoops support.
