The commentary team on BT Sports had to stop and take a breath last night.

As Rob McLean led the line for the broadcasting giant, after the match he called The Go Radio Football Show to speak about Celtic’s performance and what he said was very interesting, “I don’t think he’s [Postecoglou] going to be changing anytime soon.

“He has his system. He has his philosophy about football, and he’s going to stick to it.

“And even when he brought Nir Bitton on you thought, ‘Oh here we go. Could this be pragmatism from the Celtic manager?’, but actually all it did was push Callum McGregor that further forward.

“So the shape of the team was pretty much the same and he just wants to play this free flowing attacking football.

“He wants them to improve defensively, but obviously that’s not just the back four. The midfield and the forwards as well.

“Defending, there is a lot of scope for improvement.

“But I think there’s something really dynamic about Celtic going forward. I thought Giakoumakis looked useful, he’s going to be something completely different for them.

“And I thought Mikey Johnson was really sharp when he came off the bench, and suddenly you’re looking at increasing options with James Forrest to come back as well.”

And that should serve as a warning for the rest of the league.

Celtic are looking dangerous, hungry and could cut teams open at will and we are not even at full strength yet.

But there was one man McLean did forget to mention is due to return from injury as well.

Karamoko Dembele. And with Postecoglou willing to give the Celtic youngsters a chance, you can bet that he will also be thrown into the mix as soon as he returns from injury.
