Image for “But by the time it does happen, it may be too late.” – BBC pundit on Postecoglou. What on earth is he talking about?

Do you think they do it on purpose? Or do you think they are oblivious to it?

What I am talking about is the BBC pundit’s inability to see what’s in front of their own eyes. Or ears.

The pundits on BBC Sportsound were talking about Ange Postecoglou’s start to the season and the conversation turned, strangely, to a topic that has been long since put to bed.

Neil Alexander was talking about how Ange needs to get to the January window to help strengthen the squad and made some very contradictory comments regarding the Celtic managers future, “He’s had injuries to key players like Kyogo, Forrest and McGregor as well so  your missing a lot of good players and it’s going to be tough for them.

” The subs that he had at his disposal on Sunday he doesn’t have that strength in depth when he’s got all the injuries and with the players that he’s lost.

“He’s maybe not added the players that he would have liked to have added to the squad.

“Up until January it’s going to be tough for him.

“He’ll be thinking, ‘Let’s get through to January, let’s get some players in and let’s add to the squad and and have a really good go’, but he might not have that time to get to January.

“He needs to hit the ground running. He needs to get the away form sorted out.

“Six losses out seven away from home in all competitions. Four defeats in five games it’s not  great for Celtic manager but I do think the Celtic fans are going to give him time.

“They need to give the Celtic manager time. They’ve got to understand that it does take time to build his own team.

“And they will get there. They will get success if they do that. It just takes time. You can’t change a massive club like Celtic overnight. It’s gonna take time and he comes across as a really good guy.

“I think the players that he has signed really want to be there and play for him so I think he will turn it around.

“But by the time it does happen, it may be too late.”

So what is it? He will turn it around but needs given time? He thinks the Celtic fans will give him time but they don’t understand he needs time to build his team?

Or he will turn it around but by the time he does it will be too late. Too late for what exactly?

He’ll be sacked? He’ll lose the league?

Or maybe he is talking about Postecoglou losing the will to live trying to make sense of this word salad?
