During the Daily Record’s recent Hotline phone chat, some claimed that Alfredos Morelos is a better striker than Odsonne Edouard – which I find largely unbelievable.
It should, of course, be no surprise that such a claim came from a Rangers fan and I may sound bias as a Celtic fan but I honestly don’t see any comparison.
Morelos is a decent player, I’ll give him that but he’s not a Rolls-Royce type striker that glides over the turf, everything he does looks scrappy and on the edge.
Edouard, meanwhile, makes things look effortless with his pace and power and you only have to look at some of the Old Firm games to decide which one is better.
He’s a young player with his future sorted now he’s signed with us and I’d expect him to really kick on for next season.
Certainly, I have strong belief that he’ll outscore Morelos next season.
