Celtic are back on top of the Scottish Premiership after a superb 5-1 victory over previous league leaders Kilmarnock at Celtic Park on Saturday.

The match was about as big as it gets in the Scottish top-flight this season, with Steve Clarke’s side shocking everyone with incredible form that has them challenging for first position.

Brendan Rodgers’ men were clearly intent on proving a point and blitzed the Ayrshire visitors in the first half, surging to a 4-0 lead before seeing through the job in the second 45 minutes.

One unlikely player on the scoresheet was right-back Mikael Lustig, netting just his 20th goal in the Hoops and his first for almost a year.

The Swedish veteran was in superb form, proving his many doubters of late wrong and showing he still has a bit of life in him yet at Celtic.

He hasn’t been the most popular star in recent months but more performances like that will turn that opinion around pretty quick.

These supporters were very impressed with his Saturday display, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
