“Captain, Leader, Legend”, Skipper drags Bhoys to three points as Celtic increase gap at the top

Scott Brown celebrates a Celtic victory

Celtic edged two points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership after a dramatic, last minute winner from skipper Scott Brown against Hamilton at Parkhead whilst city rivals Rangers were throwing away a two goal lead against Aberdeen.

The Hoops had gone in front early doors through the increasingly important Ryan Christie only for Marios Ogboe and Hamilton to draw things level in the 90th minute.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man, or something like that as captain, leader, legend, Brown found himself on the edge of the box in possession, with nothing on, he drove into the box from middle to left and despite looking like he was running into a dead-end, managed to squeeze a left-footed shot across the keeper and into the opposite corner.

Queue failed knee slide from Brown and limbs a plenty as the Hoops faithful went wild, in a tight title race moments like this could just prove to be the difference.

Bhoys fans took to Twitter to celebrate the dramatic three points and Brown’s winner in what was expected to be a routine win.

Brown continues to defy his advancing years and if anything is getting better as the Parkhead club continue their impressive start to the season, dropping points in just two games as they look to maintain their stranglehold on the Scottish game.
