Midfielder Olivier Ntcham scored the winner as Celtic remain top of the table on goal-difference.

Manager Brendan Rodgers handed a number of first starts of the season due to various injuries and international calls, including to goalkeeper Dorus de Vries and Cristian Gamboa.

But it was Scott Sinclair forcing Scott Bain into action early on before Leigh Griffiths, Ntcham and Kieran Tierney also threatened.

Callum McGregor next fired too close to the keeper after receiving from Patrick Roberts, who was similarly denied when cutting inside after the break. Gamboa had already lifted an earlier shot over.

Griffiths was next thwarted by Bain, although he was to be beaten as Ntcham struck beyond him from distance with just over an hour completed.

However, opposite number de Vries responded well from ex-Celt Paul McGowan, Roarie Deacon and substitute Faissal El Bakhtaoui to preserve the lead.
