Celtic scored three first-half goals against Hamilton Academical to continue setting the pace at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Midfielder Olivier Ntcham drove them in front on twelve minutes, but Danny Redmond grabbed an equaliser around the half-hour mark.

However, James Forrest and Scott Sinclair both struck in rapid succession for the leaders prior to the interval.

The Hoops typically pushed early with Nir Bitton, Stuart Armstrong and Ntcham each having efforts before the latter volleyed in following great work from Sinclair.

The Frenchman almost added to that as keeper Gary Woods rescued his side, although the visitors were suddenly back level when Redmond found the target from the edge of the area.

But Stuart Armstrong then released Forrest to go around Woods and restore the home advantage, while just sixty seconds later Forrest turned provider when delivering for Sinclair to expertly locate the top corner.

Teenager Odsonne Edouard soon threatened another after the break and Armstrong similarly went near, with Rakish Bingham replying wide from close-in and also clipping the inside of an upright following substitute Jozo Simunovic’s short back-pass.

Fellow replacement Leigh Griffiths could though have extended the lead during the later stages as his colleagues made in 69 domestic games without defeat.
