As quoted by the Scottish Sun, Ryan Christie has opened up about his challenge against Livingston that saw him get a red card and admits that it was a poor tackle.
The midfielder has been arguably our best player this season with him scoring a fine amount of goals already but he has let himself down with what happened last weekend.
The stick he received on social media was not warranted, of course, but Christie has admitted that he let the side down and that he made a mistake with the challenge he put in.
“I knew straight away it was a shocking challenge.
“I had no complaints with the ref. It was a terrible challenge.
“Scott was all right about it and so was their manager Gary Holt.”
It was a poor tackle and a disappointing setback for both player and the team. Now, Christie needs to serve his suspension and then get back into the side and prove himself.
