According to the Scotsman, Celtic are looking to win the race for Charlie Allen ahead of Premier League sides in England.
The 15-year-old starlet can play as an attacking midfielder or striker and would come to Lennoxtown from Linfield if he ended up signing for the Hoops.
He’s played at u17 level on the international stage and seems a bright prospect, with the Bhoys apparently offering him a trial to try and ward off some of the big boys down south.
Of course, the Hoops have to like what they see before taking things any further but he comes with a decent reputation and so he could well seal himself a deal.
He’d end up in the development squad and with the likes of Karamoko Dembele showing what the Bhoys can produce at that level we should be hopeful Allen could follow similar steps.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens exactly, though.
