Yep, another transfer story.
Just as our transfer business seemed done and dusted, the club pull off another surprise move by offloading central midfielder, Yosuke Ideguchi.
The Japanese star was brought into the club last January as one of the trio of winter signings that Ange identified as being able to bolster that defensive midfield position.
Unfortunately, a serious injury on his debut in the Scottish Cup against Alloa hampered his progress and his career never really recovered from there.

Luck, coupled with the incredible form of Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley meant that Ideguchi was never really given an opportunity to shine at Celtic Park and after just 134 minutes of football in six fleeting appearances, it looks like the dream of a career at Celtic is over for the 26-year-old. Celtic already mitigated their plan to replace Ideguchi in the signing of Tomoki Iwata, which further compounded Ideguchi’s standing in the selection pecking order.
Here is hoping that the Japanese midfielder can rebuild his career but maybe, just maybe, football in Britain is just not for him.
Ideguchi did also have a spell at Leeds United in 2018 where he failed to make a single first-team competitive appearance for the club and after three loan spells he eventually returned to Gamba Osaka, the club where his career began.
Good luck to Ideguchi, it just wasn’t to be.
