MLS outfit Club Deportivo Chivas’ striker Juan Agudelo is reported to have attracted an offer from Celtic.

“My sporting director has told me the offer from Celtic is not a serious one” – Jose Luis Sanchez

That follows the 20-year-old American international impressing Hoops boss Neil Lennon during a trial spell with the club back in November.

But his own manager Jose Luis Sanchez has described the bid from the Scottish champions as far too low to stimulate any interest.

“My sporting director has told me the offer from Celtic is not a serious one,” Sanchez told the Daily Record, according to SkySports. “But he could still leave in six months as we don’t own his transfer rights.”

Agudelo has also previously spent time on trial at West Ham United and currently has a year remaining on his existing deal.
