Celtic boss scores early advantage over Gerrard with first silverware of the week

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has been awarded the Ladbrokes Manager of the Month award for November after steering his side to eleven consecutive victories.

Lennon will be hoping to maintain the run of success for another few weeks into the winter break with the first silverware of the season up for grabs at Hampden on Sunday in the Betfred League Cup final as well as the final Glasgow Derby of 2019 against Rangers on the 29th December at Parkhead.

Since dropping points against Livingston and Hibernian respectively, Celtic have been unstoppable and have returned to the form that has seen them win nine consecutive domestic trophies, their never-say-die attitude no better demonstrated than with Scott Bown’s late winner against Hamilton on Wednesday.

Many fans felt that Lennon was the “cheap option” when he was brought in to replace Brendan Rodgers following his departure to Leicester but he has now shown that his side can be equally as ruthless and relentless in the pursuit for 9-in-a-row.
