Celtic are interested in signing Hearts striker Uche Ikpeazu this summer, according to The Sun.

The paper reckon that the Hoops, Rangers and Cardiff City are all interested in his services after decent form for the Edinburgh side this term.

The 6ft 3in powerhouse has scored six goals and assisted four times in a 20-appearance season so far which has been disrupted by a foot injury.

His most recent came against Aberdeen at the weekend, netting a classy 77nd minute winner in a 2-1 victory over the Pittodrie side.

The Sun reckon that due to him signing of a new long-term contract to the summer of 2022 at the club last month, Hearts will be looking for a fee of around £1m for him.

That’s obviously well within the reach of Celtic and if we’re looking to boost our striking depth in the summer then he could be a viable option given his potential and physical performances this season.

Neil Lennon, or whichever new manager arrives, will be seeking to add quality in that department in support of Odsonne Edouard, with Oliver Burke and Timo Weah both expected to return to their parent clubs.

Is Ikpeazu good enough to play for Celtic? Have your say in the comments below…
