According to Record – via the Daily Record – Celtic have agreed a fee for defender Christopher Jullien and the player is keen on a move to the Bhoys.

The Hoops needs to get new defenders in this summer.

With Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic leaving, we are short at centre-half but it seems as though we are on the way to bringing at least one new option in for the middle of our defence.

Standing at 6ft 4in, he’s a powerful defender that is good in the air and could well be the sort of player that we can build our defence around.

Indeed, he won an average of 4.3 aerial duels a game last year in France and it is clear that he is a player that could quite quickly begin to dominate attacks in Scotland.

Apparently, £8m is the fee for him, too, and so that would be a significant outlay so, hopefully, if he signs, he’ll prove a top player.
