According to the Daily Record, Celtic are closing in on making Fraser Forster a Hoop once more with a medical scheduled for him.

The goalkeeper really started to make his name for our club and would go on to Southampton and international football.

However, in recent seasons he has fallen out of favour at the Saints and it seems as though a return to Celtic Park could well be on the cards this summer now.

With Scott Bain currently carrying an injury, we’ve got just Craig Gordon that can realistically be trusted to go between the sticks but he is not getting any younger.

Neil Lennon appears to have made his decision to get in a new stopper, then, and it certainly shouldn’t be a bad choice.

Despite Forster’s recent struggles, he is still a top goalkeeper and I personally think this will be a signing that we can all get behind and be happy about.

  • Goodness me. We needed a goalkeeper right enough NOT
I have heard on the grapevine that Calum McGregor is playing in goals tonight and Fraser Forster is playing as a trialist at right back (maybe UEFA won’t notice him he is only 6ft 7″), and James Forest at left back so that Ntcham can get a game.
You know it wouldn’t surprise me. No wonder the stadium is going to be half empty tonight or if your wear green tinted spectacles half full.
Get the positions namely left and right back sorted before buying forwards and goalkeepers.
