Celtic will be wanting to get in a left-back after the exit of Kieran Tierney last week but who that is remains to be seen.
According to the Daily Record, we have got interest in Rico Henry but the player could well be offered a new long-term deal by Brentford in an attempt to stop us trying to sign him.
he’s the same age as KT and certainly has potential – if not at the same level as the Scottish international – so he would be quite the player if he did end up coming to Glasgow.
For sure, he’ll be guaranteed playing time and potentially in the Champions League if we stay on course in that competition, so that could be tempting for him.
However, Brentford appear eager to try and keep him too, not that that is any surprise, and in offering him a long-term contract you feel as though they might then have the edge.
It does, of course, remain to be seen if they make such an offer though.
