As quoted by the Scottish Sun, Odsonne Edouard has revealed that he would like to play for France at the Olympic games next summer if they get the chance to do so.

The Celtic forward is having a good campaign again this year.

There was plenty of speculation around him in the summer and that is bound to continue on into the season but at the moment he is a Hoops player and until that changes we can enjoy watching him play in the famous green and white.

However, next summer we could well be without him for any European qualifying we hope to be taking part in as he is looking to potentially feature at the Tokyo 2020 Games for his nation.

He revealed:

“I am thinking about [the Olympics], however we are still far away from that. We have a season to complete.”

French Eddy has been playing for the u21 side for his country in this international break and has done well, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see him considered if they get to the finals next year.

It just remains to be seen what’s going to happen, then.
