Yesterday’s printed Scottish Daily Mail (page 82) has claimed that we are taking a look at defender Silvan Widmer.
A right-back that plays for FC Basel, he could be another defender we look to add to our side as we aim to strengthen that area of the pitch.
The Hoops have had a quiet window so far but some decent signings have been made and with a few more we will be more than ready to defend three domestic titles.
Widmer, then, could be the next one we look to add to our side with him at 26-years-old and ready to embark on the prime of his career.
Clearly, in playing for Basel he will have good experience at a decent level whilst he has also been at Serie A side Udinese so it is certainly a CV of note.
Whether or not we actually get him, of course, remains to be seen but it is clear that the Hoops are having a look according to this report.
